Masque of the Red Death, The (AIP 1964)

Roger Corman’s The Masque of the Red Death was released on the 24th of June 1964.

The British film stars Vincent Price as Prince Prospero who terrorises local peasants decimated by plague, while living the high life in his lonely castle. Based on Edgar Allan Poe’s 1842 short story of the same name, The Masque of the Red Death also features a sub-plot from another Poe story, Hop-Frog.
