Frozen Ghost, The (Universal 1945)
Universal’s fourth Inner Sanctum entry, The Frozen Ghost, was released on the 29th of June, 1945, after a lacklustre and half-hearted production phase.
Previous instalment director Reginald LeBorg gave way to The Mummy’s Tomb (1942) director Harold Young, much to the dismay of star Lon Chaney. The soulless feature formed half of a double-bill with the equally disappointing The Jungle Captive (1945) and the effect of a mere twelve days of filming on The Frozen Ghost can easily be seen in the finished project.
