Joseph Valentine
Joseph Valentine was born Giuseppe Valentino on the 24th of July, 1900, and trained in photography before moving into cinematography.
He worked on number of Hitchcock movies, including Saboteur (1942) and Shadow of a Doubt (1943), but is best known in horror circles for his elegant, unfussy work on The Wolf Man (1941). Nominated for five Academy Awards, he won just one, for 1949’s Joan of Arc.
Joseph Valentine died on the 18th of May, 1949.
