This luxurious publication is a fresh edition of our very first Ultimate Guide magazine, bringing it in line with the sleek timeless design of our more recent film guides and celebrating Bela Lugosi’s breakthrough movie in style.

For many film fans, Universal’s Dracula from 1931 is the first bona fide horror motion picture. True, others came before it, but Dracula shaped our understanding of what horror movies could – and would – become. And it’s the same for Classic Monsters – as our very first Ultimate Guide magazine, our tribute to Tod Browning’s 1931 movie hinted at the road ahead. In the years since the publication of the Dracula 1931 Ultimate Guide magazine, times have changed, with the style, structure and design of our guides evolving a cleaner layout, finer-quality stills, and more information. With this in mind, the Dracula 1931 Ultimate Guide New Edition is a look ahead at our future guides, and a loving celebration of our very first title. This is a Dracula 1931 movie guide magazine you simply won’t want to be without.

  1. Nigel

I wasn’t sure that ‘updating’ the original Dracula Ultimate Guide was entirely necessary, but this is a strikingly beautiful publication. Like a DVD reformatted as a Blu-ray – the original was wonderful, the new screening even better.

Nige and Jamie – what monster books they make!

  2. Donna mae

I have just received my “new” Dracula Ultimate Guide. It is very well written and informative. Another great magazine from “da boys”!

  3. Joe Steed, US

I just finished reading the updated Dracula Movie Guide and I can’t praise it enough!!! From cover to cover, it’s a joy to read!

    Two thumbs way up!!!

  4. David Nesbitt, USA

I just received the Dracula 1931 redo and it is spectacular! I can barely wait to see the Frankenstein refresh.

  5. NA Parry

I was initially in two minds about buying this updated Dracula guide – after all, I still have the wonderful original. But there’s no doubt about it: while the original is still a great read and beautifully set out, this refresh is slicker, and contains a wealth more information and text.

Gorgeous from start to finish, and hugely recommended.
