The vampire is one of the cornerstones characters of horror cinema and has come in all manner of guises over the years, from the silent world of expressionism to gothic terror and beyond. Our new Vampire Obscura postcard series honours some of the beautiful artwork that has drawn us into the shadowy world of bloodsuckers.

The vampire movie postcards in this set are A6 size (105 x 148mm) and printed in glorious full colour on sturdy 350gsm silk stock: the sublime image reproduction for which we’re renowned makes every card burst with detail and atmosphere. The matt lamination on both sides gives a subtly radiant sheen, and you can write on the vintage-themed reverse with a fine gel ballpoint or fine felt-tipped pen to share with a fellow horror fan. Alternatively, the Vampire Obscura postcard set will also be a welcome addition to your classic vampire movie memorabilia collection.

The movies covered in the Vampire Obscura Postcard Set #1 are:

  • Nosferatu (1922): this concept art by Albin Grau captures the eerie, inhuman mood of F W Murnau’s expressionist nightmare.
  • Vampyr (1932): a dreamlike movie packed with strange imagery and a creeping mood of dread that’s captured in this concept poster.
  • El Vampiro (1957): this beloved Mexican vampire thriller was promoted with bold, dramatic colour art of its star German Robles.
  • The Return of Dracula (1958): artwork for this contemporary-set thriller grabbed audiences’ attention with its over-the-top spooky imagery.
  • Blood of the Vampire (1958): this blood-soaked gothic shocker took vampirism into the realms of medical science.
  • Curse of the Undead (1959): a western spin on vampirism brought us a different type of vampire but the artwork is pure classic horror.

This item ships with a priority worldwide service via UK Royal Mail, so your set will reach you sooner. Remember, the Vampire Obscura Postcard Set #1 is limited to 100 sets in the world, making them a beautiful addition to your vampire movie memorabilia collection.
