Take a fresh look at the cover art of our flagship magazine with the Classic Monsters of the Movies Cover Postcard Set #4. This glorious collectible celebration of our recent heritage is limited to just 100 sets worldwide and celebrates the cover art from issues #19 to #24.
The breathtaking cover art featured on the cover of each issue of Classic Monsters of the Movies is one of the many elements that has drawn Monster Kids from all over the world to our flagship publication. Daniel Horne’s award-winning horror movie paintings capture not just an arrestingly accurate and detailed likeness of each subject, but a sense of time and place, mood and magic. Whatever the subject, these haunting images are a favourite among collectors.
And now they can be a part of your collection too, with the Classic Monsters of the Movies Cover Postcard Set #4. This limited edition horror movie art postcard set includes six postcards at A6 size (105 x 148mm), each one printed in vibrant full colour on weighty 350gsm silk stock that includes matt lamination on both sides to add a lustrous sheen. While the front of each card features the cover art from each issue, the reverse has a vintage-styled design. If you want to show off your own love for classic monster art you can write on the cards with a fine gel ballpoint or fine felt-tipped pen, but it’s more likely you’ll want to keep them in your own collection.
Each card in the Classic Monsters of the Movies Cover Postcard Set #4 includes the iconic Classic Monsters masthead text, along with Daniel Horne’s artwork of the following characters:
- Issue #19: Christopher Lee as the Creature from The Curse of Frankenstein (1957)
- Issue #20: Bela Lugosi as the Monster from Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943)
- Issue #21: Conrad Veidt as Gwynplaine from The Man Who Laughs (1928)
- Issue #22: The fire demon from Night of the Demon (1957)
- Issue #23: Peter Cushing as Grimsdyke from Tales from the Crypt (1972)
- Issue #24: The corrupted portrait from The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945)
There are only 100 of these sets in the world, so don’t miss out on another essential addition to your horror movie postcard collection – these ship in November 2021 and won’t be around for long!
