Our third Hammer Horror Ultimate Guide covers the 1958 vampire classic (please note, this title is only available with the Horror of Dracula 1958 cover as the Dracula 1958 variant is sold out).

The age of Hammer Horror redefined the way we looked at classic monsters. With Dracula (Horror of Dracula in the US), the British studio turned the vampire count into a violent, athletic monster – Bram Stoker’s creation had a new lease of life, and horror cinema would never be the same.

Our lavish Horror of Dracula 1958 Ultimate Guide magazine is the perfect way to celebrate the performances of Christopher Lee as Dracula and Peter Cushing as Van Helsing, together with the other cast and crew members who helped to bring this classic to life. Authors Nige Burton and Jamie Jones examine the gothic atmosphere of Hammer Horror and the ways in which Horror of Dracula 1958 changed our perception of the character.

Any fan of the Hammer Dracula movies will love this guide to the beginnings of the series. This luxury publication is produced in full colour, with stills, lobby cards and posters illustrating in-depth articles and biographies that throw new light on this classic horror movie. You’ll discover fresh insight into the cinematic drama in front of the camera, and the close-knit team who worked behind the scenes. Our Horror of Dracula 1958 magazine guide takes you into the world of blood-soaked gothic horror in style.

I look forward to receiving Dracula Prince of Darkness, and Classic Monsters, issue number 5. I ordered The Mummy last week, I am really looking forward to that as well. Thanks once again, for producing a magazine, that is of very high quality, and presented to such a high standard that the fans enjoy. I mention this magazine to lots of people, and I get overwhelmed by the quality, and enthusiasm involved by the authors.

Your wonderful Classic Monsters collection is great and brings back many memories for me(I’m 64) I remember staying in the cinema all day watching the Hammer films when they showed them as a double and at one time a triple bill(Those were the days) There was one cinema that showed all the universal Frankenstein films all week then followed the next week with the Dracula films, Wolfman, and the Mummy films. Thanks to Blu Ray I can see almost all of these great films in their glory, And thanks to you all for bringing out this wonderful collection I now know everything about these films. I hope you will continue to add more films to your collection(I hope to get them all,if I can) My greatest actors are Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee, Boris Karloff(William Henry Pratt), Peter Wilton Cushing, Vincent Leonard Price, Jr., John Christopher Depp II(Johnny Depp), Donald Pleasence, and the great Bela Ferenc Dezso Blasko, better known as- Bela Lugosi.

  6. Debbie Carstairs, Falkirk, UK

Miss this at your peril!!! A brilliant well put together summary of this classic film which put Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee up there with the best movie double acts. A good insight into the supporting cast and directors, producers and other unsung heroes who made it all possible.

  8. Tony Hart, West Sussex, UK
